Sensor Bio
vs Corsano
One is wellness signal infrastructure you can white-label and shape to any deployment. The other is a certified hospital and research bracelet with its own health cloud, research portal, and partner APIs. Here is the difference for builders — specification by specification.
Updated October 28, 2026
Built as infrastructure, not as a gadget.
Four differences decide whether a wearable can carry an institutional workload. Corsano is a strong certified peer — but its public stack is a hospital and research system, not partner-owned wellness infrastructure.
The full waveform, not the summary
Scores and insights sit on top of the exposed raw signal, with the context that shows what drove the number.
Public docs list raw PPG (green / red / infrared), ACC, BIOZ, and ECG export via the Research Portal and REST API, plus Bluetooth SDK sync. Access runs through Corsano Health Cloud, studies, and commercial packages — not a self-serve wellness SDK default.
One system, every use case
Designed from the ground up as a data platform that clinical, defense, and enterprise partners build on directly.
CardioWatch 287 System: bracelet, app or gateway, medically certified health cloud, and research portal. Partners integrate via cloud-to-cloud REST or on-phone SDK — inside Corsano’s regulated workflow.
Your brand on the signal
Ships as infrastructure a partner can put its own name on from the first deployment.
Open strategy connects CardioWatch to partner platforms via APIs and SDKs. Hardware stays Corsano-branded; a partner-owned white-label or OEM bracelet path is not listed on public product pages.
Shaped to the deployment
Data model, retention, and reporting are configured to the partner's environment: a hospital, a base, a research protocol.
Research Portal lists study-level parameters and sampling frequency (25–128 Hz on FAQ). That flexibility is study-scoped inside Corsano’s cloud — not the same as a partner-configured wellness retention model on day one.
A wellness tracker tells a person a score and stops there. A signal platform shows the score, the raw signal behind it, and hands over the data to prove it.
Six problems institutional buyers run into, and how we answer each one.
Raw waveform export is the default data product for every partner, not a gated upsell.
Raw ACC, PPG G/R/IR, BIOZ, and ECG are documented for researchers — via Research Portal CSV export, cloud-to-cloud REST (api.health.cloud.corsano.com), or Bluetooth SDK. SDK integration requires the Corsano Connection Package and is aimed at experienced developers. That is real openness, but it is not a default self-serve wellness SDK SKU.
Deployments are configured to retain the history a partner actually needs.
Data lives in Corsano Health Cloud and the Research Portal. Bulk export and REST API downloads are documented; partner-configurable multi-year retention on a separate wellness stack is not listed on public data-access pages.
Every score ships next to the raw signal it was built from, plus the context for what drove it.
Certified vitals (pulse rate, HRV, SpO₂, respiration, core body temperature, NIBP, sleep, activity, and more) ship with the regulated system. FAQ states only validated algorithms are released to researchers; raw series export separately. You inherit Corsano’s algorithm set — not a partner-owned scoring layer on open waveforms alone.
Partners build directly on the Sensor Bio platform, built as infrastructure from the start.
Partners connect into Corsano Health Cloud, EMR integrations, gateway streaming, and hospital monitoring workflows. Strong for in-hospital and RPM — heavier than a wellness-only signal platform you fully own.
Native white-label from the first deployment. The partner's brand carries the platform end to end.
CardioWatch stays Corsano-branded on the wrist. Third-party apps can pair via SDK, but a partner-owned hardware SKU or full white-label band is not listed on public corsano.com or docs.corsano.com product pages.
Configured per deployment from day one: a hospital, a base, or a research protocol.
Built for EU-MDR and FDA-cleared hospital monitoring, CRO trials, and remote patient programs. Teams that need a general wellness band, white-label from first ship, and no regulated-device path should compare honestly — Corsano optimizes for certified care; Sensor Bio optimizes for configurable wellness infrastructure.
Everything the Sensor Bio SDK hands you on day one.
Eight categories of physiological data, fetchable per day or across a range, with the raw datapoint series underneath every summary. No separate license. No gated tier.
Continuous core signals
Heart rate, daily and trending, with a Poincaré plot. Heart rate variability across the same daily and range views.
Respiratory rate, daily and trending.
Skin temperature: min, max, average, and the full point series.
Movement and energy
Steps graphed over time, and calories.
Daily activity score with baseline difference and progress percentage.
See how much you move with a daily running total of movement duration.
Readiness, daily and ranged
Daily recovery score compared across weeks, months and years.
Scores are personal to you and after calibration, reflect your physiological changes.
Use the underlying biometrics or the aggregate score for easy reference.
The deepest surface in the SDK
Sleep score with running average, contributing factors, and penalties. Awake, REM, light, and deep percentages, plus minute-by-minute stage intervals across the night.
Resting HR and HRV, plus full HR, HRV, and respiratory-rate graphs with every datapoint. Skin temperature with min, max, average, uncertainty, and baseline comparison.
Total sleep time, onset and wake timestamps, and per-session timing including naps.
Recommended bedtime, wake time, and duration. Circadian score and net sleep debt with three-night accounting. Range views add score trends, daily sleep-time points, and an aggregated debt graph.
On-demand snapshot
HRV against baseline, and parasympathetic to sympathetic balance.
Min, max, and average HR with a graph, plus respiratory rate and stress index.
Signal-to-noise ratio on the reading, and a PDF report link.
Session-level biometrics
Per-workout average, min, and max heart rate.
Time-in-zone breakdown for the session.
Summary, detail, and timeline endpoints per workout.
Cloud-synced attributes
VO₂ max, max HR, and computed max HR.
Height, weight, and walk / run stride.
Biometrics, sleep, and steps across a date range in one call.
Raw signal, in real time
During an active recording session the band streams HR, HRV, respiratory rate, beat-to-beat intervals, raw PPG, signal-to-noise ratio, and motion.
This is the ground-truth channel a wellness tracker never exposes. Everything above is derived from it.
Compiled from the public SensorBio SDK interface, v0.17.0. Categories one through seven are fetched from the cloud after sync, per day or across a date range, with cached and force-remote variants. Sensor Bio V2 is a general wellness device: not FDA-cleared, not FDA-approved, not intended for diagnostic use.
What Corsano documents for partners — cloud, portal, and SDK.
Corsano is an openness peer, not a closed consumer band. The tradeoff is workflow: certified cloud, commercial packages, and study-scoped configuration — not a default wellness SDK tier. “Not listed” is not the same as “doesn’t have.”
Cloud-to-cloud REST on Corsano’s medically certified health cloud. Public endpoints include https://api.health.cloud.corsano.com and https://api.users.cloud.corsano.com. FAQ points to developer.corsano.com/rest/intro for REST documentation. Source: docs.corsano.com/products/data-access/.
Third-party mobile apps may pair and sync CardioWatch 287 over Bluetooth. Corsano documents iOS/Android SDK flows on developer.corsano.com. Implementation requires purchase of the Corsano Connection Package and is described as experienced-developer work. Sensor Bio figures are sourced from the Sensor Bio V2 technical specification sheet, current as of July 2026. Sensor Bio V2 is a general wellness device: not FDA-cleared, not FDA-approved, not intended for diagnostic use. Corsano hardware and data-access figures are sourced from corsano.com, docs.corsano.com/products/data-access/, docs.corsano.com/products/bracelet-2/, corsano.com/faq/, and corsano.com/knowledge-base/content-of-exported-data-file/. Corsano describes its CardioWatch system as EU-MDR certified and FDA 510(k) cleared on public marketing pages — that regulatory status applies to Corsano's device, not Sensor Bio V2. “Not listed” means the fact was not found on that public surface — not that the capability does not exist.
